Renown Central Utility Plant
As part of its $150 million master plan improvements project, Renown Health has enlisted C/S to complete a significant enhancement of its infrastructure with the construction of a new Central Utility Plant (CUP). This state-of-the-art facility is strategically designed to house the hospital’s boilers, electrical distribution systems, and backup power systems. Located on the north side of the hospital near 2nd Street, the CUP is a critical component in bolstering the resilience and efficiency of the hospital’s operations.
The Central Utility Plant is not just an infrastructural upgrade; it is a commitment to uninterrupted healthcare services. By centralizing the boilers and electrical distribution, the plant ensures a reliable and consistent energy supply, crucial for the hospital’s day-to-day operations and emergency services. The inclusion of backup power systems is particularly vital, as it guarantees that essential medical services remain operational even in the event of power outages.
This project is a part of Renown Health’s broader initiative to enhance and expand its facilities, ensuring that the hospital remains at the forefront of medical technology and patient care. The new Central Utility Plant is a testament to Renown Health’s dedication to providing the highest standard of healthcare services, with a robust and reliable infrastructure that meets the growing needs of the Reno community.
