PlumpJack Balboa Cafe
Clark/Sullivan delivered the Balboa Cafe for PlumpJack Management Group in the middle of the busy resort village, maintaining business as usual for Squaw Valley during its ski season.
The team delivering the project shoehorned a great deal of seating and function into the tiny footprint. They skillfully worked around deep snow and tight constraints for staging materials. They also juggled access to another general contractor working on site at the same time and worked to minimize impact to skiers and visitors at the resort.
Our crew worked with low structural clearances and other situations demanding creative solutions. The ceilings were left exposed, and many mechanical items were hidden behind strategic soffits. Some mechanical parts were left exposed but painted.
