To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to give my recommendation to allow Clark & Sullivan Construction Company to meet all your construction needs. My name is Vic Allred and I own a small chain of restaurants called Jazz, A Louisiana Kitchen. I became interested in the Reno/Sparks market because of the project being developed by RED Development called the Sparks Marina at the Legends. We opened in January of 2009.
Having no experience or knowledge of the construction industry in Reno, I started from the beginning. I initially sought interviews with eight local companies and was able to fully interview each at their place of business. I was particularly impressed by Clark & Sullivan because of what I perceived to be a small town personality from their employees and the congeniality they showed towards me and my concept.
I finalized my construction plans and met directly with four companies to discuss bidding on my project. The other companies were Penta Construction, Q & D Construction and TNT Construction. While each were fully qualified to build a restaurant like mine and each of these companies had their own endearing qualities, my original thinking with Clark & Sullivan was confirmed when I received their bid for services. They were more price sensitive than the others and even gave me a long list of suggestions that I could think about to cut some expenses, many of which we implemented.
The quality of the project exceeded by expectations as they were committed to meeting the timeline we developed, which ultimately saved more money by not extending the project. As a tenant with a timetable from my landlord, this was extremely valuable as I was able to prevent having to pay rent while in construction. I found the supervisor to be overly adequate at holding subs to meet not only their time frame, but also hold to their cost structure. While no project is incomplete without some change orders, the supervisor showed great flexibility in keeping the project on time and on budget.
It gives me great pleasure to recommend Clark & Sullivan for all you construction needs, regardless of the size or scope of the project.
Regards,
Victor B. Allred, Owner, Jazz, A Louisiana Kitchen
